We had a brilliant 2022 season here at Discover Parks hosting a range of events at both Arrow Bank & Pearl Lake.
That only means one thing. It needs to be bigger & better for 2023.
Our Events this year are already shaping up to make 2023 a year to remember.
Throughout the season we also host fortnightly Bingo & Games nights on alternate Friday nights so Friday evenings are always busy at the Lakeside Bar & Bistro.
Easter Weekend
Welcome Back Party
Saturday 8th April is our Welcome Back Party at Lakeside Bar. A perfect chance for everyone to get together and catch up, meet some new faces and meet some of the Discover Parks Team. We have a local duo coming from Ludlow as well as our resident DJ Powers to keep you dancing all night. The fabulous Grant & Gill will also be providing a buffet for the evening.
The Discover Parks Annual Easter Egg Hunt
After the fun of the Welcome Back Party we have something for the children to enjoy. Every year we host our Annual Easter Egg Hunt around Pearl Lake. Lets see who can find all the clues this year...
Quiz Night
Once a month we also have the chance for you to test your general knowledge by our very own on-park Quiz Master, Tony Ward. On the 3rd Saturday of every month come down to Lakeside at 8pm to see if you can come out on top.
Supporting Local Food Vendors
We like to support local here at Discover Parks, and so give local food vendors the chance to showcase their businesses once a month at Arrow Bank providing you with amazing delicacies that they have on offer. On the Saturday 29th April we will be welcoming The Big Smoke BBQ with their Gourmet Burgers and Signature Tacos.
Bank Holidays and Open Days
Every Bank Holiday weekend we have live music on the Saturday for you to relax, enjoy or dance to. On Saturday 29th April we have a band local to us, from Tenbury Wells called 'The Fix' coming to entertain at 3pm at the Lakeside. With their eclectic mix of music - great songs from The Beatles to Coldplay they are really worth coming to listen to while relaxing with a drink.
It's is also an excellent opportunity over the course of the weekend to visit Libby & Ben during our open weekend. Enjoy a look around some of the Best Holiday Homes available. You can come along and have a look at some of the best Holiday Homes on the market. Events at the Lakeside
We don’t just have music, bingo & quiz nights here at Discover Parks. Once a month in the Lakeside Bar we have short mat bowls - open to everyone to have a go. Starting at 8pm the mat is rolled out in the function room and people are split into teams of 2 to play against each other. You don’t need to know how to play, it's just a chance to have fun.
Important Diary Dates
Just like our fantastic Jubilee celebrations in June of 2022, we will be having another celebration to celebrate the Coronation of King George III on Saturday 6th May. With celebrations at both parks, events you won't want to miss. We will be having live music & a disco from MirrorBall at Pearl Lake. At Arrow Bank we have a fantastic acoustic set from Aaron Booton to enjoy with a classic garden party to celebrate the Coronation of the King.
May Bank Holiday
During the Whitsun Bank Holiday Weekend at Pearl Lake we have 2 groups over the weekend! The first band that we have on Saturday 27th May headlined our very first ParkFest and then opened it last year. The Innocent Criminals are a great band who play a lot of music from the 60’s right through to the present day.
There is also no better way to spend Sunday 28th May than by sitting back and relaxing with our very own Ukulele group PLUG at 4pm. We cannot think of anything better than enjoying the sunshine with a nice cold drink while listening to these amazing bands.
Summer Ball - Saturday 8th July
Every year at the Lakside Bar & Bistro we host a Summer Ball. It’s a great event midway through the season where you can get your glad rags on and dance to a band. The Hey Yahs have played in venues all over the country and now they are coming to Pearl Lake. This will be a Pearl Lake first as they have never performed here before. Make sure that you all get this date in for sure!
A couple of dates that you will want to put into your Calendars will be the Saturday 10th June & Saturday 5th August. We have the return of 2 fantastic bands on park.
The Forfeits will be joining us to give you the chance to dance the evening away in the summer sunshine. On the Saturday 10th June we have something a little different for you.
The Ending are back to play something a little different than we normally have on Saturday 5th August. They were an amazing band and we cannot wait to have them back.
We have two major events during the summer - one at Arrow Bank at the end of July and then on August Bank Holiday at Pearl Lake. With transportation between Arrow Bank and Pearl Lake it means that you do not miss out on either of these!
DiscoverFest
After the amazing success last year we are back over at Arrow Bank with DiscoverFest on the Saturday 29th July with live music on from 2pm - all local acts, they will keep you entertained until the final band finishing at 8pm.
We also have some amazing food vendors coming to join us. Mr Gyro & Big Smoke BBQ as well as Crepe Happy coming with their sweet treats. Available throughout the day we have Penrhos Spirits with their cocktail wagon and outdoor bar so you will never go thirsty.
We do not forget about the children and will have a bouncy castle free of charge for them to play on all afternoon.
ParkFest
The biggest event is ParkFest hosted over at Pearl Lake. Come and join a variety of fun over the course of the Bank Holiday Weekend from Friday 25th August where we have Bingo in the Lakeside Bar.
The real action beings though on Saturday 26th August from 2pm - we have 5 local bands, some you have not seen before. We also have Big BBQ Smoke & Crepe Happy, along with the Penhros Gin bar. On Sunday, we a friendly bowls match in the afternoon, along with Andrew Pearce from 3pm. The perfect way to wind down after a bank holiday.
Halloween
Don’t forget the Spooky Season in October. Over at Pearl Lake in the Lakeside Bar will the Annual Halloween Party on Saturday 28th October. A perfect chance to see if you win the best dressed competition, and dance the night away to some spooky hits.
Bonfire Night
Every year celebrate Bonfire Night in 2 different ways at Discover Parks. At Arrow Bank on Friday 3rd November we host a pet friendly bonfire. Gone are the loud bangs and noises. We light the bonfire and celebrate in a different way. I wonder what surprises we have in store this year.
Saturday 4th November come and see our Firework Spectacular with our very own Bonfire & Firework Show. Every year our team put on a fantastic display while you cosy up by the bonfire.
