The powerful Mortimer Family once ruled large parts of north Herefordshire and the walk that bears their name passes Croft Castle, Wigmore Castle and Mortimer Forest. At 30 miles it can be done over 3 days and follows a route form Kington in Herefordshrie to Ludlow in Shropshire.
