There’s plenty going on across Herefordshire as the year draws to a close. From guided walks to tipple tasting, early Christmas events and artisan markets. November may be chilly, but Herefordshire will wrap you in a warming winter glow!

Various dates in November & December
Brand new for 2025 is an Escape Room experience in the historic cloisters in Hereford Cathedral. You’ll be taken back to mediaeval Hereford and the task is to find a ring stolen from visiting pilgrims using the clues provided. And who stole it in the first place? Immersive fun in truly stunning surroundings.

Escape Room | Hereford Cathedral

8th November
A special 10m walk that starts in Kington (only about a 15-minute drive from all Discover Parks). With the autumn colours still at their very best, the walk will be a feast for the senses. It’s a circular route taking in the Arrow Valley, Lyonshall Park and Titley Junction Railway Station which is a real nostalgic surprise!
Loads of photography opportunities whether it’s panoramic views or some cheeky selfies!

9th November
Another stunning venue to visit in Herefordshire – Lyde Court between Leominster and Hereford. If you like vintage, then this event isn’t to be missed. There’s retro clothing and timeless classics, homeware to add character to any space, jewelry and bags with a story to tell plus books and vinyls
Lyde Court’s cafe will be open and the event will take place in the stone barns, with vaulted ceilings, lots of beams and arrow slit windows.

15th November
This event at Hereford’s Left Bank Village complex, claims to have the biggest range of products to sample in the Midlands! There’s over 300 wines and spirits to have a tot of…and of course the opportunity to buy.
Always a busy event, there are 2 sessions to choose from. Make sure you’ve a designated driver sorted!

Wine Tasting Events Hereford | Secret Bottle Shop
22nd November
The market is set in the creative spaces of the Courtyard Centre for the Arts in Hereford. It features so much local talent that you could do a clean sweep of your Christmas gift needs all in one place. There are one-of-kind gifts by local artisan craftspeople at every turn. The Courtyard’s cafe bar is also open and you’re just a five-minute walk from all the eateries in Hereford’s Old Market shopping area.

From 22nd November
Towering about the town, Ludlow Castle is one of England’s most significant mediaeval fortresses. Come the festive season though, it indulges in a bit of dressing up. The Christmas Tree Trail sees trees decorated and hidden all over the castle. Spot them all and vote for your favourite!
The trail is free and normal castle entrance prices apply.
Christmas Tree Trail 🎄 – Ludlow Castle
22nd – 23rd November
Get the Bridgerton/Downtown feel ready for Christmas, at Berrington Hall near Leominster.
The backdrop is this fabulous Georgian neoclassical mansion set in its own amazing parklands. These were the final design of ‘Capability’ Brown including a ha-ha and 14-acre lake.
You’ll be taken around the grounds in a carriage and pair. It’s an ideal way to take a breather either with the family or a ‘romantic’ partner!
Horse & Carriage Rides | National Trust
26th – 30th November
Hay-on-Wye is famed for its long running Literary Festival which takes place every May. The festival attracts authors, celebrities, and visitors from all over the world. This winter festival is smaller but equally as exciting. There are over 70 authors and performers at 60 events. There’s comedy, music, workshops, fiction, non-fiction and more in this quirky little town on the Welsh border.
